Here is the Band Director qualified to write this book
Well thought out, full of useful information that will save your budget, and maybe your career. Just the sample forms and letters for parents, staff, and students, plus the parade performance charts make this book worth buying. Although for full disclosure, I was Andy's Tour Director and tour planner, however this is the book to read if you want to come close to the level of success achieved during the writer’s tenure as Band Director of the Golden Tornado Band.

Great book
This book has been a fantastic resource. I am planning a trip with my band overseas and Yaracs has provided a wealth of insights into what to plan and expect. A great book for all band directors.

Fantastic information for group travel
There is no one more qualified to write this book. I have traveled with Mr. Yaracs as a chaperone and worked with him on the transportation side. He dots every "I" and crosses every "t". As the owner of Campbell Travel, a tour and travel company, I can say I have learned many things that make my traveling easier from my time working with Mr. Yaracs. If you are a new group leader or even if you've been doing it for years, buy this book and you'll find ideas that make you wonder why you never thought of doing it that way before. I did!

Excellent resource from a qualified expert!
I was a band member under the direction of the author of this book, Andrew Yaracs from 1996-2000 and was fortunate enough to be able to participate in the first 3 trips that he planned for the Butler High School Marching Band. I was amongst those students that traveled for Butler High School Marching Band's first trip to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City as well as the first trip where the band chartered a Boeing 747 to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. Throughout my experiences in preparing for and going on these trips, Mr. Yaracs was nothing less than completely thorough with planning, preparation, safety, activities, etc. All of these trips were extremely memorable and an important part of my high school marching band experience!! After my graduation year, Mr. Yaracs continued to lead the marching band to many more destinations for 12 additional years and I'm positive that he made each one more memorable than the previous. The advice held within this book is definitely from a dedicated, passionate, and certainly qualified expert!!
